The woodland is all private land. Under no circumstances are you permitted to walk around any part of the woodland other than the main track to the paddock. Do not go any further than this track. Anyone found doing so will be putting themselves in danger and will be prosecuted for trespassing.

The paddock may only be used under valid bookings. You are not permitted to turn up and use our facilities without a booking. Please keep proof of booking on you as you may be asked to present your confirmation during random spot checks.

Subletting of the paddock is strictly prohibited.

Professional dog walkers and trainers must contact Scouting for Dogs before booking Paddock in the Pines for business use.

Occasionally, there may be dogs walking through the woodland belonging to either Scouting for Dogs or the owners of the woodland. These dogs will always be under control however, if you have a reactive dog who would not cope with seeing other dogs at a distance, please contact Scouting for Dogs prior to your booking and we will try to ensure that your session is not disturbed. (Please note, this may not always be possible but we will do our best. There is also a very quiet, public footpath adjacent to the paddock which occasionally people do walk down so please also be aware of this).

Use of Paddock in the Pines is completely at your own risk. Scouting for Dogs and the land owner will hold no responsibility for any accidents that occur.

The ground is uneven which may result in their being small gaps underneath the fencing. It is your responsibility to ensure your dogs cannot get under the fencing. There are longlines available to borrow if you fear this could be a risk.

Please be aware of wild animals creating holes. Some dogs may be able to dig under the fencing and gate. It is your responsibility to ensure their security.

As the owner, you are responsible for your dogs and must always be in control of your dogs. Dogs are not permitted to be off-lead until fully secure and inside the paddock with the gates are locked.

Should there be adverse weather, such as, snow, storms, strong winds, heat wave, torrential rain etc. You, as the owner are responsible to check the weather and assess whether it is suitable for you to still use your booking. Rescheduling is only available if more than 24hours notice is given.

We operate on a 15-minute, turnaround time to ensure you can open and lock the gates before the next slot arrives. You must be on time when arriving and leaving the woodland and are not permitted to arrive earlier or stay later than your allocated time slot. If there is an issue which is preventing you from leaving on time, you must contact Scouting for Dogs immediately. Please respect the booking before you and do not enter the woods until they have left.

You will be sent directions to the woodland with a booking reminder 24 hours before your booked slot. There are combination locks to enter through the gates that you will receive in your booking confirmation, these will be changed on a monthly basis. Please keep the main, woodland gate locked at all times, even when you are using the paddock.

Parking at Paddock in the Pines is completely at your own risk. Scouting for Dogs and the land owner are not liable for any damage, injuries or loss of belongings and will hold no responsibility.

Paddock in the Pines reserves the right to close the land and cancel any bookings with immediate effect in cases of emergency or work being done. Any bookings effected will be contacted immediately to inform of closure.

We do not permit more than 6 dogs to be using the paddock at one time.

We do not permit more than 4 cars to be on-site at any one time – by booking Paddock in the Pines, you are confirming that everyone in your party is aware of and has agreed to our T’s & C’s.

Paddock gates MUST be closed and locked before allowing your dog’s off-lead. The gate must remain closed throughout your session. Scouting for Dogs and the land owner are not liable for any accidents or injury to you or your dog(s).

Scouting for Dogs operates a force free and positive reinforcement business and are bound to the code and conduct of PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers). Therefore, any form of punishment, negative reinforcement or adverse training equipment is strictly banned on our premises. You will be asked to leave immediately and not be permitted to return if found using any of these methods.

Do not allow your dog’s to dig holes in the ground, there are sand pits and specific areas for your dogs to dig. Please do not allow them to create dangers for other paddock users.

Under no circumstances should dogs be left unattended at any time.

Equipment is solely for the use of dogs. Do not allow anyone (including children) to climb any of the equipment available. They are not made to hold human weight.

ANY damage caused by your dogs is to be reported immediately to Scouting for Dogs for the safety of other dogs and people. If not reported, you will lose the right to return. Damage to property may result in added damage fees.

This is not your basic paddock - this is a woodland. There will be roots growing out of the ground, tree stumps, uneven land, possible falling of sticks/branches and insect nests – Scouting for Dogs and the land owner are not liable and hold no responsibility for any trips, falls or damage to yourself, your dogs, or your property.

Please ensure your dogs are covered by flea and tick treatment. There are fleas & ticks in woodland! It is your responsibility to ensure your dogs are up to date with parasite treatment. If you find ticks to be a nuisance, please contact Scouting for Dogs for advice and we can recommend the best way to prevent your dogs catching any. Scouting for Dogs also recommends covering your legs whilst using the paddock as we are not liable for any parasite bites.

Do not allow your dogs to eat any of the plants that are naturally growing or twigs etc. As much as we do our best to get rid of anything that could be of danger to dogs, it is impossible to ensure there are no dangers. Scouting for Dogs and the land owner will hold no responsibility if your dog becomes ill.

All prospective customers must ensure the woodland is suitable and secure for their specific use such as fence height, fencing materials, activities.

Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations/ titre tests. Any dog who is knowingly unwell is not permitted to attend the paddock. This includes Kennel Cough. Any dogs with Kennel Cough or other airborne illnesses are strictly not permitted to attend the paddock and endanger other dogs.

Paddock in the Pines welcomes all nature. Please respect this, you are in their home. Do not purposely allow your dogs to chase and injure any wild animal – dogs must always be on-lead when outside of the paddock.

If you see any wild animal trapped inside of the paddock or injured, you must contact Scouting for Dogs immediately and do not allow your dogs out of the car/ into the paddock until the situation has been controlled.

Occasionally, there are bee’s nests in the woods. Please do not approach and leave them alone. If you do not hurt them, they will not hurt you. If you find a wasp’s nest, please notify Scouting for Dogs.

Please ensure you are picking up your dog’s waste, especially on the main track. There is a bin in the paddock.

Although we do our best to ensure that the drinking water containers are full, there may be occasions when they are running low. As there is no running water at the paddock, we recommend you take your own to be safe.

Under absolutely no circumstances are BBQs or Fires permitted, if we spot this happening, you will be asked to leave immediately and not return.

Paddock in the Pines does not permit the use of smoking cigarettes in the paddock OR in any part of the woodland. Please wait until you have left, to smoke. Anyone found smoking or leaving cigarette butts will be asking to leave and not return.

Payment is to be made online. Payment secures your booking and means you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Cancellations & Refunds - We do not offer refunds; we will happily reschedule your booking to another date/time if more than 24 hours’ notice is given.

Scouting for Dogs reserves the right to withdraw permission to use the facility at their discretion, where individuals have not complied with the rules or conditions of use. Subject to the reason for the withdrawal of the facility, any advanced payment may be refunded. However, Scouting for Dogs shall be under no liability for any other expenses incurred or loss sustained by the client as result of the use of the facility being withdrawn at our sole discretion.
