Hi, I'm Alex!

I own Scouting for Dogs, a 5 star pet service, which has been running since 2021!

​

And, Paddock in the Pines, the only fully woodland dog paddock in Lincolnshire!

​

I began my career working with animals back in 2017, working in dog rescue and dog boarding for 4 years! During my time in rescue, I gained so many valuable skills, qualifications, and knowledge.

​

Getting to work with rescue dogs was one of the most mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting things I have ever done - yet the most rewarding.

​

Moving on from rescue and boarding, I worked in veterinary for a year before deciding that my rescue Labrador, Pippa, deserved more than me working 12 hour shifts. So, I set up Scouting for Dogs and now she comes to work with me every day!

In 2023, I adopted my second dog, Piglet, the naughtiest little whippet known to man! But, I wouldn't have her any other way!

In July 2024, I received my accreditation with PACT (Professional Association of Canine Trainers) as a qualified animal training instructor under the ABTC (Animal Behaviour & Training Council) who pride themselves on teaching science and reward based, force-free training techniques.
